The Story
Founded by Charmaine Dellow Meghjee, Ayrela offers a sustainable way to consume South Asian occasion wear without hurting the planet, or your bank account.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the world slowed down and Charmaine found herself learning about the lifecycle of South Asian fashion via books, TV shows and online articles. She came across the concept of wardrobe leasing during this process and asked herself: why isn’t there a leasing service for quality South Asian clothes?
Charmaine is leading her team to build THE circular hub for South Asian fashion lovers, allowing users to unlock access to hundreds of unique pieces, without the one-wear guilt.
She believes leasing beautiful outfits can still be a magical experience that doesn’t detract from the big occasion, but gives customers a smart, practical, sustainable choice in how they consume that special outfit.
